In case you haven't heard, Breakfast Television ran a contest to find one lucky couple to throw a wedding for and we're providing all the photography for this contest and wedding day. The couple has been selected! Congratulations to Melissa & Jeremy!! Now it's the viewers time to help plan their big day by voting for everything from the gown, to tuxes, decor, flowers and more. This morning on BT they had a segment on the gown and tux options for the happy couple. The voting has now been opened for Melissa's wedding gown and Jeremy's tux! Visit BT's website to cast your vote. 

The gown's are being offered by Everything But The Groom, and the tux's by Western Tux.

Happy Halloween from Macphail Photography

Wikipedia defines Halloween as - Halloween (or Hallowe'en), a contraction of All-Hallows-Eve ("evening"), is an annual holiday observed on October 31, and common activities include guising/trick-or-treating, attending costume parties, carving jack-o'-lanterns, lighting bonfires, apple bobbing, visiting haunted attractions, playing pranks, telling scary stories, and watching horror films.

Did you know that Halloween is not celebrated in all countries and regions of the world, and among those that do the traditions and importance of the celebration vary significantly? In Scotland and Ireland, traditional Halloween customs include children dressing up in costume going trick or treating, holding parties, while other practices in Ireland include lighting bonfires, and having firework displays.

No matter how you'd like to celebrate Halloween, we just wanted to wish everyone a very happy and safe Halloween today!

BT Throws A Wedding - A Winner Has Been Selected!! Macphail Photography

Last Friday was the submission deadline for the BT Throws A Wedding contest. The winners have now been selected and we're anxiously waiting to meet the lucky couple next week! We're looking forward to meeting the couple and setting up an engagement session with them.

Though the contest is now closed, don't forget to watch BT over the next month as the viewers get to vote and decide on various options to the big wedding day. Oh and by the way.... we are supplying BT with a selection of shots that we took to cover all the options to be voted on. We'll be keeping a close watch as the voting unfolds to see what selections the viewers decide on for flowers, decor, and cake etc.

Fraser Valley Wedding Festival Tomorrow!! Macphail Photography

We're happy to be a  part of the Fraser Valley Wedding Festival from 4-8pm tomorrow, Monday October 17th. It's being held at the Cascades Hotel and Casino here in Langley. Admission is $5/person with $1 from each ticket being donated to BC Cancer Society! Come get ideas for your upcoming wedding and raise a bit of money for a worthy cause.

It's that time again, another Cinderella Bridal Show is being held tomorrow night. It's at the Princess & the Pea B&B and the Murrayville Hall (across the street) from 5-9pm. We'll be one of the many vendors in attendance with our booth set up in the B&B.

Happy Thanksgiving Weekend!! Macphail Photography

We would like to wish everyone a safe and happy thanksgiving weekend!! Besides looking forward to an extra day off this weekend, I know a lot of people are looking forward to spending time with family and friends. So what are you thankful for this Thanksgiving? 

I have to say I have a lot to be thankful for! I have an amazing husband, two of the best boys a mom could ask for and a crazy little dog too. We are blessed to live in Canada, have a house over our heads and have an amazing group of family and friends. 

We're thankful for each and every bride, groom and portrait client that has come our way over the years. You have not only made our business more successful than we ever anticipated, but you have also inspired us to  constantly learn new techniques and improve our skills.
